This tribute is dedicated to Aaron, an extraordinary individual who had worked for Turftech for 27 years when he passed away suddenly from a medical event on the 17th July 2025. He was only 47, a loving husband and father, and a true leader in our industry. His extensive knowledge spanned agronomy, mechanical work, design and implementation of sportsfield construction, drainage and irrigation, with a work ethic and loyalty to Turftech that is hard to imagine.
Aaron joined Turftech in 1998 as a junior mechanic and turf manager. From the very beginning, he demonstrated his potential as an extremely valuable member of our team, being promoted rapidly to head mechanic at Gulf Harbour Country Club, then progressed to managing our newly established Renovation business. In 2011, Aaron started our Construction division, expanding Turftech’s services to include sportsfield construction, drainage, and irrigation projects. He was promoted to General Manager in 2015. Over the last decade, Aaron oversaw all three of our divisions, sharing his knowledge and supporting our teams at our full contract schools. He managed all our construction and renovation projects and was instrumental in the recent rapid development and growth of our Mobile division. He worked tirelessly, always setting and upholding high standards, and he was never afraid or unable to do anything that he asked of our staff.
To me, Aaron was an incredible support, a valuable sounding board, a friend, and the most loyal employee I could have asked for. I will miss him every day and will strive to make him proud of what he helped us achieve in our business. Aaron, thank you for the time, effort, expertise and support you have given to help me build Turftech into the company it is today. I am enormously grateful.
Your friend, colleague and mentor
Rob.
