Rob founded the company in December 1996 in Auckland. After graduating with a marketing and computer science degree, he spent twelve years in the computer industry, some of which were spent running his own company. This gave him a sound understanding of business and the requirements for success. He is a passionate sportsman having completed 24 marathons, is a keen cyclist and avid golfer. Rob’s commercial experience is useful in leading Turftech.
Turftech employs approximately 25 staff, with a number of these being qualified agronomists. We have a policy of paying for all relevant education for our staff. Our trainee program is very important to our culture. At any one time we have approximately 10 turf trainees. We believe when it comes to turf management, our excellent skills are a point of difference.
